Motivation for Working at All Nations:
While I have been truly blessed with opportunities for international education and work, my heart has always remained with the land and peoples of my hometown and state (Missoula, MT). I spent over twenty years studying the political economy of health, decolonizing methodologies, traditional healing practices, and related issues around the world, and was always eager to apply these experiences at home for the betterment of my community. From both a personal and professional perspective, I have long admired All Nations’ strengths-based and culturally grounded approach to health and community; I am honored to contribute to research and programming that prioritizes Indigenous ways of knowing and being, while directly working toward greater health equity and justice.
Hobbies and Interests:
  • In stolen moments between work and full-time parenting
  • I maintain a steady visual art practice (mixed media, acrylic painting, beading, jewelry) and occasionally teach art classes.
  • DJ local events
  • garden and make botanical skincare products
  • practice yoga, hike and camp with my kiddo
  • and participate in collaborative art-music-community projects
